Candy Buffet or...

In the past few years we have seen the rise of the candy buffet as the ideal collaboration between party favor and room decor.

A well done candy buffet incorporates numerous candies, many times in the party color scheme, interesting containers, and varying heights. Specialty linens or a simple organza topper adds visual interest to the candy buffet. Our neighborhood candy shop, 42nd Street Candy Company offers a candy buffet service. You can pick from their huge inventory of specialty candies and they can even set everything up and provide you with their beautiful glass containers.

Labels and candy scoops are important details so don't forget about them! Guests want to know what they are eating and they don't want to use their fingers to dig into your candy display. Don't forget the to-go packages, from chinese take out boxes, silver tins, or organza favor bags, your guests are sure to want to take some goodies home for later!

Glass apothecary jars make a beautiful presentation, just watch out for suction top lids. Remove them prior to service to prevent an accident with your guests!

My favorite new twist on the candy buffet is the gourmet popcorn buffet...from cheddar, caramel corn, to candy coated in your wedding colors, it's a unique twist your guests will love! What about a warm cookie buffet? A simple and cost affordable option, serve them up warm with shooters of cold milk for that midnight snack that everyone adores!
Enjoy!

Congratulations Tamara and Todd!

Another beautiful wedding is done here at the Will Rogers Theatre. This weekend we had the pleasure of working with Tamara and Todd, another one of our favorite couples. Todd is a great customer at our sister restaurant, Musashi’s and Tamara lives right in the neighborhood so we were so pleased when they chose the Will Rogers Theatre for their wedding reception.

With over 200 guests and a classic black, white and red color scheme, the Will Rogers Theatre was stunning as usual. The guests dined on some of the couple’s favorite sushi rolls such as the grasshopper roll and the crazy Cajun roll. Passed hors d oeuvres added an elegant touch to the food service and champagne provided the perfect accompaniment. A live band added the musical flair that kept the guests moving and mingling.

A candy bar was provided our neighbor, 42nd Street Candy and it was a hit! All in all, it was another successful reception here at the Will Rogers Theatre and we couldn’t be more pleased to do it all for Tamara and Todd.

Congratulations to another beautiful couple! Have a wonderful honeymoon!

Holiday Parties

The weather is getting cooler and fall is here...but the Christmas season is right around the corner. It's officially October!

If your company hasn't booked your annual holiday party yet I kindly suggest you get on the ball! Holiday dates are booking very quickly. At this point in the year you may need to consider a Thursday, Friday or Sunday for your evening event.

Daytimes are a bit easier to get on the calendar and we still offer NO ROOM RENTAL for daytime meetings with catering for a minimum of 25 guests. It's a great deal!

We are also available for off premise catering, meaning we can bring our delicious and beautiful food straight to you! We can do drop off only for the entertainer who wants to serve her guests and take care of the house or we can do EVERYTHING for the host who wants to truly relax and enjoy their party.

Contact us today to get on the December calendar. We would love to fit you in before our dates are gone!

Always,
